Kiyoyuki Kaito

土木構造物を中心とする社会資本（社会基盤施設）を取り巻く意思決定問題を主たる研究テーマとしている．従来，「経験」と「勘」で行われてきた様々な意思決定問題に対して，確率論や数理統計学を用いて，経験と勘の視覚化（暗黙知の形式知化）を行うと同時に，意思決定過程のモデル化を手がけている．近年の具体的な研究テーマは，目視点検データに基づく土木構造物の劣化予測，ライフサイクル費用最小化に基づく投資優先順位の決定などである．これらの要素技術をアセットメトリクスとして学術的に体系化を図ること，また要素技術を有機的に連動させた総合化技術により統合リスクマネジメントという新分野を創出させることが現在の研究目標である．1972年大阪府泉佐野市生まれ．2000年3月東京大学大学院工学系研究科社会基盤工学専攻博士課程修了，博士（工学），米国コロンビア大学客員研究員，民間コンサルタント主任研究員を経て，2007年4月より大阪大学大学院工学研究科フロンティア研究センター特任講師，2011年4月より大阪大学大学院工学研究科社会基盤マネジメント学領域准教授，2024年3月より現職．
